The next monthly meeting will be January 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Lykins welding shop on Portsmouth Road, Peebles, Ohio.
It is very important for all members of the work team to attend the meeting and keep current on all information.  The work team must bring their luggage with them so it can be weighed.  The weight will be adjusted by adding building supplies and groceries to get the bag to the 48# limit.  We cannot waste any allowed weight with underweight bags.  This will help get the needed tools, building supplies, and groceries to Haiti and cut down on the CMF's cost of paying for extra bags.

DECEMBER 2011 MEETING MINUTES

December 13, 2011 @ Lykins Welding Shop, Peebles, Ohio

The meeting was lead by Ed Lykins, President.

OPENING PRAYER:  By Dennis Forsythe

SCRIPTURE READING:  Ed Lykins read John 8:12, ...Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  Ed went on to read John 9:1-5 “…Jesus said… we must do the work of he who sent me.” The CMF’s building projects are an example of how we are letting our light shine for our Lord.  Through this work many people have a local church building to go to and listen to God’s word. The CMF is an important link in the Caribbean people being able to have this opportunity.

ROLL CALL:   Ed Lykins, Carol Thatcher, Mark St.Clair, Steve Johnson, Scott and Nancy Mays, Doug Ford, Dennis Forsythe, Lloyd Dunn, Bill Kohus, Jim Tutt, Terry Stout, Jeremy Mignerey, John and Melissa Hendrix, Jim Rominger, Bill Christman, Josh, Christen, and Dawson, Howard Bohls, Donna Young, Carol Ann Anderson, Connie Lykins, Richard Bess

SECRETARY REPORT:  The report was not read.  Everyone had read the minutes before coming to the meeting and voted to wave the reading. Dennis Forsythe made a motion to accept the report. Jim Tutt seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  The Treasurer’s report was read.  The current Building Materials Fund balance is $11,754.12.   The majority of the building funds have been withdrawn to be used for the work trip in January.   The Treasure stated, “If anyone wants to see his account books, feel free to contact him anytime.”   Melissa Hendrix made a motion to accept the report and Mark StClair seconded the motion.   A vote was taken and it carried.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  Discussion time regarding the airline tickets, luggage, needed shots, medicine, passport, tools, mosquito net, and food to take on the work trip continues.  This will be an ongoing discussion each month as the trip plans are refined.  This is why each team member must be at the January monthly meetings with their packed luggage. Each bag will be weighed and adjustments will be made to keep the weight at 48#.  Keep your luggage light so tools and groceries can be added to come up to the 48# limit.

ADJOURNMENT:   Dennis Forsythe made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Melissa Hendrix.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  By Jim Tutt

                                                                        Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

@ Countryside Church of Christ, Seaman, Ohio

@ Countryside Church of Christ, Seaman, Ohio

@ Countryside Church of Christ, Seaman, Ohio

October 11, 2011 at Bethlehem Church of Christ, Winchester, Ohio

The meeting was led by Ed Lykins, President.

OPENING PRAYER:  By Terry Parker

SCRIPTURE READING: Dennis Forsythe read Phil. 2:1-5.  It instructs us to imitate Christ’s humility having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ.

ROLL CALL:   Ed Lykins, Carol Thatcher, Mark and Lisa St.Clair, Steve and Sue  Johnson, Scott and Nancy Mays, Denny Anspach, Dennis Forsythe, Lloyd Dunn,  Bill Kohus, John and Kathy Waits, Jim Tutt, Terry and Marilyn Parker, Bill Christman, Cheryl Jennings, Howard Bohl, Hannum Taylor, Terry Stout, Donna Young, Kristen and Dawson Souder

SECRETARY REPORT:  The report was read. Cheryl Jennings made a motion to accept report. Mark St.Clair seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  The Treasurer’s report was read.  The current Building Materials Fund is $39,480.10.   Terry Parker made a motion to accept the report and Jim Tutt seconded the motion.   A vote was taken and it carried.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  Discussion continues about the search in the states to find a useable school bus to be shipped to Gonaives, Haiti.   Nothing has been found as of this date.  It is going to be hard with all the government regulations and guidelines placed on the school bus to be shipped.  It may have to be something found within the country of Haiti.  This too will be a difficult find.

The 5K Run/Walk Race on Saturday, September 17th was a great success.  Members worked hard and the CMF was blessed with the needed support to help fund the 2012 work project.   Terry Parker did an out standing job as chairperson for this fundraiser.  Terry shared with the group, the Byrd Township Fire Department, Station 25, in Decatur, Ohio, gave the CMF the Timer-Printer they have loaned to the CMF each time we have had a 5K race.  Thank you Byrd Township Fire Department!

The CMF presentation scheduling continues. Talk to your home church about scheduling a time for the CMF to share its work and future plans.  Keep checking the presentation list on the website for updates as dates are filled and/or changed.  A presentation is scheduled for October 30th at the Enon Church of Christ, in Enon, Ohio and November 13th at the Macon Church of Christ, 118838 Emmons Street, located in Macon, Ohio.

There was a discussion time regarding the needed shots, medicine, passport, and the tools and food to take on the work trip.  This will be an ongoing discussion each month as the trip plans are refined.  This is why each team member needs to be at all monthly meetings till we leave in January 2012.

The Draft Horse, Mule, and Pony Field Days on October 1st and 2nd at Fawcett, Ohio, took a lot of hard work. The CMF served food during this event. This fundraiser takes many people volunteering to make food items, man the kitchen, take orders, and preparing the food for each order. Thank you to all that helped.  “Thank you”, to all the churches that donated food items and volunteered their time and prayers on behalf of this fundraiser.  The weather was cold, wet, and windy but the sun did shine on Sunday afternoon.  The LORD did bless our efforts.

The total trip cost for each 2012 work team member will be approximately $1,157.  The cost will vary due to the difference in the cost of the airline tickets for one week stay or two week stay and where the departure is from.  If the member wants a bed frame to put their air mattress in to get it off the floor, it will cost $40 for the frame.  The bed frame will be built when we arrive in Gonaives.

More discussion followed about the work trip and the needed items for each person to take.  The size of carryon bags and checked baggage will be checked again through the airlines to make sure all limits are observed.  It is very costly if a bag is over weight or size.

There will be an auction of household items in Shelbyville KY., October30th.  The Mays are the chairperson for this CMF fundraiser.  The monies from all food sales will go to the CMF.  If you can help, contact Scott and Nancy Mays at (937)446-3555.

ADJOURNMENT:   Carol Thatcher made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Lisa St.Clair.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  By Nancy Mays

                                                                                                 Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

The LORD has continually blessed the Christian Missionary Fellowship and its work.  We also pray for each one of you as you support this mission work by offering up prayers, giving encouragement, participating in our fundraisers, and financially supporting the Lord’s work at all levels.

Call Ed Lykins at (937)587-2968, Steve Johnson at (937)386-3946, or Carol Thatcher at (937)386-2444 if you have any questions about the CMF activities.  Continue to check the CMF website cmfellowship.com for the latest news.

The meeting was lead by Ed Lykins, President.

OPENING PRAYER:  By Scott Mays

SCRIPTURE READING:  I John 2:3 and following was read.  If anyone obeys his word, God’s love is
truly made complete in him.   This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.  God’s word goes on in Acts to command us to make disciples of all nations.  This is why the Christian Missionary Fellowship builds church buildings for God’s people who need a building to worship Him in.

ROLL CALL:   Ed Lykins, Carol Thatcher, John and Melissa Hendrix, Lisa St.Clair, Steve and Sue  Johnson, Scott Mays, Denny Anspach, Dennis Forsythe, Lloyd Dunn,  Bill Kohus, John and Kathy Waits,  Jeremy and Tiffany Mignerey, Jim Tutt, Terry and Marilyn Parker, Bill Christman, Cheryl Jennings

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  Discussion continued about the search in the states to find a useable school bus locally to be shipped to Gonaives, Haiti.  Large groups like the CMF work team need transportation while in Haiti for the group to get from Port au Prince Air Port to Gonaives where the living quarters are located and back again to the air port when we leave. It will also be used daily to transport people and building supplies back and forth to the work site. Please make this a matter of prayer.  This bus will save the CMF $3,000 to $4,000 each time a work team travels to Haiti.

The 5K Run/Walk Race on Saturday, September 17th will be a great fundraiser.  Registration will starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race will start at 8:30 a.m.  There is a $15 donation for each participant and they will receive one of the race t-shirt.  The course begins at 217 Rarden Road in the old Bob Malcom Car Sales lot.  It will continue down Portsmouth Road and back again.  Members have worked hard to get $100 sponsors for the one line ads on the back of the t-shirts.  With the leading of the Lord, hard work on our
part to carry out this fundraiser, and every ones prayers and support, the CMF will be blessed with the needed support to help fund the 2012 work project.   Terry Parker went over the job assignments for the race.  If you are not going to be a participant in the race please show up and volunteer for one of the needed jobs on the day of the race.

The CMF presentation scheduling continues. Talk to your home church about scheduling a time for the
CMF to share its work and future plans.  Keep checking the presentation list on the website for updates
as dates are filled and/or changed.  A presentation is scheduled for October 30th at the Enon Church of Christ, in Enon, Ohio.

The Draft Horse, Mule, and Pony Field Days on October 1st and 2nd at Fawcett, Ohio, is the next scheduled fundraiser.  The CMF will be serving food during this event.  Lists of the needed items from each church family, was given out.  This fundraiser takes many people volunteering their time to help with the food sales.  Everyone is welcome to bring a friend and/or spouse to help also.  No help is turned away.  There
are jobs for all who are willing to help for an hour or two or stay the whole day, whatever works into your schedule.   Any questions call Carol at 386-2444.

The total trip cost for each 2012 work team member will be approximately $1,100.  The cost will vary due
to the difference in the cost of the airline tickets for one week stay or two week stay and where the
departure is from.  Each member’s trip cost also includes $300 to cover travel cost, drinking water, and
food while in Haiti.

ADJOURNMENT:   Melissa Hendrix made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Lisa St.Clair.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  By Jim Tutt

time finalizing the work trip.  Discussion of what needs to be done by each participant before leaving for
Haiti, what personal and food items are needed, tools to pack, and luggage requirements will be gone over.  It is very important for those involved in the work trip to attend all meetings to keep current on all

AUGUST 2011 MEETING MINUTES

August 9, 2011 @ Lloyd and Pat Dunn’s Home in Sardinia, Ohio

The meeting was lead by Ed Lykins, President.

OPENING PRAYER:  By Scott Mays

SCRIPTURE READING:  Lloyd Dunn read I Peter 4:8-11.  It set up how we are to live: love one another deeply, offer hospitality willingly, serve others with our gifts, faithfully administering God’s grace in its
different forms, speak as if we are speaking the words of God, so God will be praised through Jesus Christ.

ROLL CALL:   Ed Lykins, Carol Thatcher, John and Melissa Hendrix, Mark St.Clair, Steve and Sue  Johnson, Scott and Nancy Mays, Denny Anspach, Dennis Forsythe, Lloyd and Pat Dunn, Hannum Taylor, Todd Whited, Derrick James, Bill Kohus, John and Kathy Waits, Fred and Clarine Tracy, Jeremy
Mignerey, Jim Tutt

SECRETARY REPORT:  The report was read. Dennis Forsythe made a motion to accept report. Jim Tutt seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  The Treasurer’s report was read.  The current Building Materials Fund is $32,675.32.  The yard sale at the Sardinia Storage Buildings made $2,747 to add to the Building Materials Fund.  Thank you to all who helped in any way. Jim Tutt made a motion to accept the report.  Fred Tracy seconded the motion.   A vote was taken and it carried.

Nancy Mays had been a staff member at Butler Springs Church Camp last week.  She talked to the
students about the CMF and its work.  Over the week she was given $255.80 to be used for the mission work. It is always awesome to see young people becoming interested in and giving support to mission
work.

NEW BUSINESS: Ed Lykins was interviewed by The Informer newspaper, published in West Union.  In
the August 2nd weekly newspaper, two pictures and an informative article about the CMF’s latest work
trip and the planned 2012 trip was published.  It is great to have the information about the work being done by our Lord through the CMF on the front page of the paper for others to learn about. We praise God and give him all the glory for what is done through his CMF servants.

People in the states are still working to find a useable school bus locally to be shipped to Gonaives, Haiti.  Large groups like the CMF work team need transportation for the group to get back and forth from Port
au Prince Air Port to Gonaives where the living quarters are located and back again to the air port when we leave. It will also be used daily to transport people back and forth to the work site and for moving building materials.  If a bus can be located it should not cost much more than what our group pays for hiring transportation in one year.  Please make this a matter of prayer.

The CMF needs to buy a EM6500 SK2 Honda generator.  Ed Lykins has been in contact with a man in Gonaives, Haiti who has worked with our group in the past.  Many of the building supplies used in our building projects are bought through his business.  This will be the best place for the purchase of the needed generator.  Jim Tutt made a motion to buy a 6500 watt generator /or Ranger or Bob Cat welder if the price is comparable. The motion was seconded by Fred Tracy.  A vote was taken and all present agreed.

A 20KW, completely contained diesel generator and ½ keg of screws have been donated to CMF for
their mission work.  Praise God for his goodness!
There is always a need for workers to join the mission trip.  It takes many hands to complete the work the LORD leads us to do.  No matter your work skills, there is a place for you to help.  It is awesome to see
the new people at the meeting. Enclosed is a list of the 2012 work team.  Keep everyone in your prayers
and the work each one will be doing while on the mission field.

During the past Haiti trip in June a bed frame to hold a twin air mattress was constructed for the work team
to sleep on.  Each one costs $40 to make.  This will be an option for any of the work team.  If you have a
tall air mattress you may not want one.  If you have a thinner mattress you may want to invest in the bed frame to get up off the floor.  The option of mosquito nets and a fan was discussed.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A shooting range and a 5K Run/Walk at the Old Timers Day Celebration in September was discussed.  The shooting range has not come together as hoped so it will be cancelled.  The 5K race on Saturday, September 17th will be the only fundraiser we will have. The sign-in
for the race will start at 7:30 a.m. and the race will start at 8:30 a.m.  There is a $15 donation for each participant and they will receive one of the race t-shirt.  The course begins at 217 Rarden Road in the old Bob Malcom Car Sales lot.  It will continue down Portsmouth Road and back again.  Members have
worked hard to get $100 sponsors for the one line ads on the t-shirts.  With the leading of the Lord, hard work on our part to carry out this fundraiser, and every ones prayers and support, the CMF will be blessed with the needed support to help fund the 2012 work project. At the September 13th meeting the job assignments for the race will be given out.  If you are not going to be a participant in the race please
volunteer for one of the needed jobs.

The CMF presentation scheduling continues. Talk to your home church about scheduling a time for the CMF to share its work and future plans.  Keep checking the presentation list for updates as dates are filled and/or changed.  To date there are two dates scheduled: September 11th at West Union Church of Christ in West Union, Ohio and October 30th at Enon Church of Christ, in Enon, Ohio

There was a question and answer time regarding the needed shots, medicine, passport, and the tools and food to take on the work trip.  This will be an ongoing discussion each month as the trip plans are refined.  This is why each team member needs to be at all monthly meetings till we leave in January 2012.

ADJOURNMENT:   Melissa Hendrix made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mark StClair.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  By Hannum Taylor

                                                                                                              Secretary Report by Carol Thatcher

The next monthly meeting will be September 13th at the West Union Church of Christ at 7:00 p.m.  The church building is located on Lloyd Road across the road from the Ohio Valley Vocational School.

JULY 2011 MEETING MINUTES

July 12, 2011 Meeting @ Scott and Nancy Mays’ home

The meeting was led by Ed Lykins, President.

OPENING PRAYER:  By Scott Mays

SCRIPTURE READING:  Judges 6:11 and following tells how God asked Gideon to leave what he was doing and do work for Him.  The scripture goes on to show how our Lord can take an unlikely person such as Gideon and only a few others equipped with only a trumpet, pitcher, and a light, and defeat a great army who was waging war against God’s people.   Scott went on to shared how there is a difference between, believing in God and believing God.

ROLL CALL:   Ed and Connie Lykins, Carol Thatcher, John and Melissa Hendrix, Mark and Lisa St.Clair, Steve and Sue Johnson, Scott and  Nancy Mays, Denny Anspach, Cheryl Jennings, Fred and Clarine Tracy, Jim and Kim Tutt, Terry Parker, Fay Cline, Richard Cline, Dennis Forsythe, and Lloyd and Pat Dunn.

SECRETARY REPORT:  The report was read.  Fay Cline made a motion to accept the report as read. John Hendrix seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  The Treasurer’s report was read.  The current Building Materials Fund is $26,827.69.    Building materials were purchased while the CMF members are in Gonaives, Haiti June 17th - 24th.  Some of the material will be used by the local church people to finish their work on the foundation and walls of the church building they have started building.  $5,100 was returned to the account following the return of the CMF group in June.

There has been $1,600 collected from 5K Race $100 sponsors.  It would be great to have 30+ more $100 sponsors to be added to the list of businesses on the back of the race t-shirts.  If each CMF member will talk with the local businesses they have contact with, the back of the shirts will be filled.

Lloyd Dunn made a motion to accept the report.  Melissa Hendrix seconded the motion.   A vote was taken and it carried.

NEW BUISNESS:   Scott and Nancy Mays reported on the June trip to Haiti. The closets were built for $700 at the Jesus Loves Me Orphanage with $300 being returned to Reggie Thomas of White Fields.  Reggie had earlier sent $1,000 for the CMF to build and install closets while they were there.  VBS went well at the orphanage and the two churches.  The building site at the Royal Christian Church was coming along well.  The existing church building roof has been moved over on the new building site. The government had removed one side of the building for the water way and it could not be used the way it stood.  An amount of $3,000 was left for Jon Ramon, the minister at the Royal Christian Church to buy the needed brick, rebar, and bags of concrete to continue their work on the new building site.  The church building was further along than we expected.  The members are using all their resources to do their part in constructing the building as far as they can.  This will make the work for the 2012 work team easier in January.

Much of the work being done in Haiti will never make a difference in the poverty level of the average Haitian.  Our helping construct safe and useable church buildings will help make a life time difference for the people. Our Lord and Savior is the only constant part of their everyday existence.  God is the only hope found in their lives.  The CMF wants to be a part of making a worship place available where the existing church building is no longer useable by the congregation.  In turn the church members are strengthened in their faith by seeing they are worthy of our time, support, and work.

July 21, 22, and 23 will be the annual yard sale at the intersection of Freeh Road and State Route 32, just East of Sardinia, Ohio.  Set up will start Wednesday evening.  We look forward to this being a profitable fundraiser based on the donations last year.  It will take workers and people buying items to successfully carry out this event.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  A shooting range and a 5K Run/Walk at the Old Timers Day Celebration in September were discussed.  Terry Parker will be chairing the 5K Race on Saturday, Sept. 17th.  Another group of members are still working on getting a paint ball shooting range set up for the week of the Old Timers Day Celebration.

With the leading of the Lord, hard work on our part to carry out these fundraisers, and every ones prayers and support, the CMF will be blessed with the needed support to help fund the 2012 church building project in Haiti. All things are done in the name of the LORD and we give him all the praise and glory for what GOD does through the Christian Missionary Fellowship.

The CMF presentation scheduling continues. Talk to your home church about scheduling a time for the CMF to share its work and future plans.  Keep checking the website events list for updates as dates are filled and/or changed.

Don’t forget the CMF missionary booth at Restoration Acres July 24-28.

There is always a need for workers to join the mission trip.  It takes many hands to complete the work the LORD leads CMF to do.  No matter your work skills, there is a place for you to help.  Join the work and you will have a life changing experience in the LORD.  You will find the biggest blessing will be to yourself.

NEW BUSSNESS:  Melissa Hendrix will be the person updating the CMF web site.  Help keep her up to date on all changes and new events as they come available.   The web site will only be as current as we keep her informed.

ADJOURNMENT:   Fred Tracy made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Sue Johnson.  A vote was taken and it carried.

CLOSING PRAYER:  By Nancy Mays

URGENT PRAYER CONCERN!

The trip in June 2011 to Gonaives to put on Vacation Bible School as well as laying the groundwork for our January 2012 trip was a success!  However, we have discovered a concern that needs to be a matter of prayer for all:

There is going to be a major need for a vehicle to transport workers from our work team and building supplies back and forth from the home where we will be staying, to the work site where the church will be built. The present truck is not adequate to do the job.

Please join us in prayer that God makes a way to fill this need before the work team returnes to Gonaives, Haiti, the last week in January 2012. Thank you for all your support and prayers.

MAY 2011 MEETING MINUTES

May 10th at West Union Church of Christ

The meeting was lead by Ed Lykins, President.

OPENING PRAYER:  By Fred Tracy

SCRIPTURE READING:  Steve Johnson read Mark 4:26-29.  It is the parable of the
growing seed.  Man scatters seed on the grown and God makes the seed grow.  The
CMF builds the building to be used by God’s church family which is blessed with
many souls being saved through the preaching of God’s word.

ROLL CALL:   Ed Lykins, Carol Thatcher, Melissa Hendrix, Mark and Lisa St.Clair,
Steve Johnson, Denny Anspach, Lloyd Dunn, Ronnie Anderson, Fred and Clarine
Tracy, Cheryl Jennings

SECRETARY REPORT:  The report was read.  Mark StClair made a motion to accept
report. Melissa Hendrix seconded the motion. A vote was taken and it carried.

TREASURE REPORT:  The Treasurer’s report was read.  The current Building
Materials Fund is $36,922.97.  Supplies needed for the 2012 work trip are being
purchased.  Lloyd Dunn made a motion to accept the report.  Fred Tracy seconded
the motion.   A vote was taken and it carried.

NEW BUSINESS:   Reggie Thomas with White Fields called Ed to tell him the ‘Jesus
Loves Me’ orphanage, in Gonaives, Haiti, has had a government inspector come in
and inspect the facility.  His findings were the dorms need closets.  There is
now a $1,000 yearly fee to be paid to the government to keep the facility open.
The inspection and the $1,000 fee had never been a requirement before.

Lisa St.Clair made a motion to build the needed closets in June when the CMF
members are there in Gonaives.  Clarine Tracy seconded the motion.  A vote was
taken and it carried.

The church that had been sending monthly support for the purchase of food for
the orphanage has also stopped their support without any notice.  This has also
made it more difficult for White Fields to keep the facility open and the youth
fed.  Please make this a matter of prayer.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS:  Further plans are being made for a group of CMF
members to travel to Gonaives, Haiti, June 17th to 24th.  This trip is essential
for finalizing the building site preparation and making lists of needed material
for the church building project in January and February of 2012.  Building
materials will need to be purchased locally in Gonaives and be waiting for the
work team in January.  Information about the 3 day VBS lessons and crafts for
the youth at the Bigot Church was shared.  Keep both these projects in your
prayers.

A shooting range and a 5K Run/Walk at the Old Timers Day Celebration in
September were discussed.  Selling the ads for the listing of $100 sponsors on
the back of the 5K Run/ Walk t-shirts needs to be starting.   With the leading
of the Lord, hard work on our part to carry out these fundraisers, and every
ones prayers and support, the CMF will be blessed with the needed support to
help fund the 2012 work project. All things are done in the name of the LORD and
we give him all the praise and glory for what He does through the Christian
Missionary Fellowship.

The CMF presentation scheduling continues. Talk to your home church about
scheduling a time for the CMF to share its work and future plans.  Keep checking
the presentation list for updates as dates are filled and/or changed.

There is a need for workers to join the 2 week mission trip the last week in
January and the first week in February of 2012.  It takes many hands to complete
the work the LORD leads the CMF to do.  No matter your work skills, there is a
place for you to help.  Join the work and you will have a life changing
experience in the LORD.

ADJOURNMENT:   Melissa Hendrix made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mark
StClair.  A vote was taken and it carried.

OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ed Lykins discussed the formal dedication services held at the Bigot Christian Church in Gonaives.  This is the church building in Gonaives there Sainsurin preaches and the CMF work team had helped complete when they were there this fall. Reggie Thomas has also shared with Ed that there were 1,100 people in attendance and 26 were baptized that Sunday morning. Reggie preached the next Sunday morning and 4 more were baptized.  Everyone involved with this church is very touched by the growth of the church members since the CMF building projects started a few years ago.   Helping to enlarge the building has given them the needed classrooms and sanctuary space to grow.

There was discussion about the work project for 2012.  Plans are still being made for a group of 9 to return to Gonaives June 17th to 27th to assist in site preparation and to make a list of needed materials for the building project in January and February of 2012.  Most of these materials will need to be purchased locally in Gonaives and be waiting for the work team in January. This will also give the CMF workers a better idea of what needs to be packed and taken with them when they travel to Haiti in January.

Nancy Mays and Tracy Waite will be hosting a few days of VBS for the youth at the Bigot Church while the men are working on the future building sites.  Nancy has a friend who will be translating materials into the written language needed for the Haitians to understand.  Craft ideas were discussed.  They need to be cheap, light in weight, small in size, and with a boat and water theme.  There will be a large group of children to share the VBS lesson and craft with each day. Balloons, foam items, sheets of glue dots were discussed.  All ideas are valuable, please share any you have.  Keep this project in your prayers as they prepare.

Fundraisers for 2011 were discussed.  There is a projected cost of $60,000 needed to complete the planned 2012 work project.  With the leading of the Lord, hard work on our part to carry out the fundraisers, and every ones prayers and support, it will be accomplished. All things are done in the name of the LORD and we give him all the praise and glory for what He does through the Christian Missionary Fellowship.

NEW BUSINESS

Carol Thatcher is chairing the nominating committee for the 2011 election.  The positions to be filled are: (3) three Board Members and Vice President.  Dan Hildebrecht, a present Board Member, has resigned and this has created one (2) two years Board Member position. The regular term is for three years. A slate of persons willing to accept these positions will be presented to the members at the February meeting.

A letter to those who have gone on past work trips is being made ready to mail. We want to invite each one to join the team again for the 2012 work project.  It will take many hands to complete the planned project.

A letter is also being made ready to mail to churches in Adams, Brown, and Clermont County, and surrounding areas to inform them who the CMF is and that we want to share the work being done and future plans with them.

ADJOURNMENT
